We are based in the United States and our services are intended for U.S. residents. By accessing our Services, enrolling in a program, or providing us with personal information, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in this Policy.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or device ("Personal Information").

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

4. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY (COPPA & STUDENT DATA)
Our Services involve students who may be under the age of 13. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Verifiable Parental Consent: We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13 without obtaining verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian. Enrollment in our services and payment by credit card constitutes such consent.

Prohibition on Sale: We do not sell, rent, or trade the Personal Information of students under the age of 18 to third parties for advertising purposes.

5. SHARING AND DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION; USE OF AI TOOLS
We may disclose your Personal Information to a third party for a business purpose. When we disclose Personal Information for a business purpose, we enter a contract that describes the purpose and requires the recipient to keep that Personal Information confidential.
We share your Personal Information with the following categories of third parties:

Service Providers: Companies that provide services on our behalf, including payment processing (e.g., Stripe), cloud storage (e.g., Google Drive), video conferencing (e.g., Zoom), and email marketing (e.g., Mailchimp).

No Mobile Information Sharing: Notwithstanding the above, text messaging originator opt-in data and consent information will not be shared with any third parties. We will not share your mobile number with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Legal Authorities: If required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Education Polis LLC, our users, or the public.

We may utilize AI-powered tools to assist in providing our Services (e.g., grammar checking, code debugging assistance, or scheduling optimization). However, we are committed to protecting Student Intellectual Property.

Private Models: We do not use Student Data (including essays or code) to train public Large Language Models (LLMs) or generative AI tools in a manner that would expose your data to the public.

No Automated Decision Making: We do not use algorithms or AI to make significant legal or educational decisions about a student (such as determining eligibility for a camp) without human review.
6. DATA SECURITY AND RETENTION

Security Measures: We implement commercially reasonable security measures (administrative, technical, and physical) designed to protect your information. However, no security system is impenetrable.

Retention: We retain Personal Information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

Camp Health Data is deleted or anonymized within 60 days following the conclusion of the camp, unless an incident report requires longer retention .

8. CALIFORNIA SPECIFIC NOTICES
A. "Shine the Light" Law
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request a list of third parties to whom we have disclosed Personal Information for direct marketing purposes. We do not share Personal Information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
B. Do Not Track (DNT)
Our website does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals because a uniform technological standard has not yet been developed.
9. INTERNATIONAL USERS
Our Services are controlled and operated from the United States. If you are accessing our Services from outside the U.S., please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may be less stringent than those in your country.
